Convalidation is a marriage preparation process for couples who are:
Convalidation brings the marriage to the dignity of a sacrament in order for it to become fully recognized by the Catholic Church. Please note that the couple must first have the facts of their marriage reviewed by their parish priest. In some instances, a determination must be made as to whether a declaration of nullity -of a prior marriage- may be necessary. For questions about declarations of nullity of marriages (commonly referred to as annulments), please contact the pastor at 650-593-6157 to make an appointment.
